We have purchased a new build home from Richmond American. Richmond has failed to keep up with their warranty agreement by servicing the house after our "30 day" walkthrough. Richmond has recycled employees and each time they lose someone or move someone, our repairs get lost in the mix. I have escalated to the superintendent of the house build, asking for their corporate office number or bosses' phone number and the superintendent told me he didn't have time to answer my request.
This is the employer's chance to tell you why you should work for them. The information provided is from their perspective. Great leadership that is positive and reinforces hard work. I appreciate that my CM does not yell but rather offers constructive criticism.
The same floor plan or model can look very different with brick, siding or stone exteriors, but the entire outline can change from one elevation to the next while the underlying floor plan is the same. This is the worst builder I have ever dealt with. I closed on my home with a promise unfinished items would be completed with 30 days after closing. It is now almost 2 months later, and nothing has been completed.

Give communities more than on model already. You will lose deals because you have been given lies to sell. With all the home builders out there, do not choose this one unless you love drama created by management. Childish behavior, intolerance, rude, unhelpful, ungrateful and demeaning. The block next to us, started after our street, started after our foundation was already in place for 4 months, and most of the block has people living on it.
He is funny and positive though under a lot of stress. Work hard build your backlog if your backlog is gone this job is as good as mcdonalds. The absolute shoddiest home I ever purchased.

Wish i would have paid for a home inspection before closing. Lots of things wrong and Received dirty house with several damages. Neighbors i talked to had a similar experience.Three months later several items still not fixed noted at time of final walk through. Sales agent was the only positive part of the experience that was a true advocate to help us with all the issues with construction and mortage process.
